The Power of 3

The Power of 3 is a dynamic and accessible production that explores the intrigue and mystery surrounding the number three. Built around a wide array of three-note motifs and triple-meter phrases, the show creates strong visual and musical effects through simplicity and familiarity. Segment 1 opens with the driving pulse of Ravel's Bolero, transitions into a woodwind feature from Verdi's La Forza del Destino, and concludes with the iconic opening of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. Segment 2 shifts into a more somber tone, blending Scarborough Fair and Greensleeves, and features a haunting Uilleann pipe solo (which can also be performed on synthesizer) for added authenticity. Segment 3 launches with a percussion-heavy fusion of Carol of the Bells and Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre, moves into Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, and finishes with high energy using Rossini’s William Tell Overture.
