Commissions

Six to Five Productions offers the opportunity for ensembles to commission a brand new show customized to your ensemble’s instrumentation and difficulty level. Customizations
“I really like how this show sounds, but I’m not sure that my (insert section(s) here) can play it...”
“I’d love to purchase this show, but the instrumentation isn’t quite right for my ensemble…”
“This show doesn’t quite fit my ensemble’s needs, but I can’t afford to hire arrangers…”
These are just a few of the issues that directors run into when purchasing pre-packaged show designs. What if we told you that we have the solution to your problems? Six to Five Productions, LLC is excited to offer directors the ability to customize ANY of our shows using our “add-ons” drop down menu.
How it Works:
When you’ve decided on a show that you would like to purchase, simply go to the show page and click on the button labeled "Select More Options." You will see a drop down menu that will give you a list of music customization options and prices.
Fees are automatically calculated when you choose the amount of staves needed for each specific customization. Once the "Add to Cart" button is pressed these fees appear in your shopping cart. If needed, a follow up consultation via phone or e-mail can be scheduled to further discuss details on these modifications. After customization details are confirmed and purchased, allow 1-2 weeks for our design team to make the proper customizations to fit your ensembles needs.

Music Customization Options

Change Difficulty ($100 per staff)
Are you worried about a specific section’s part being too difficult? Worried that another section will not be challenged enough? Let our world class design staff rewrite those parts to fit the difficulty level of your ensemble. Simply click on the button above the label, type the number of staves, and use the "user comments" box to specify which staves you would like changed and how.

Implode Orchestration ($100 per staff BEFORE reduction)
Don’t have enough of a particular section to warrant multiple parts (ie – Clarinet 1&2, Trumpets 1-3)? Let our design staff reduce the parts for you as well as determine the best musical phrasing to ensure that the proper balance and blend is not compromised due to section sizes. Simply click on the button above the label, type the number of staves (BEFORE reducing parts), and use the "user comments" box to specify which staves you would like reduced.

Explode Orchestration ($100 per staff AFTER increasing)
Do you have a larger section in your ensemble that warrants multiple parts (ie – one trumpet staff to 3 trumpet staves)? Let our staff increase the part numbers of your section(s) to allow for richer harmonies and balance to your ensemble. Simply click on the button above the label, type the number of staves (Total staves AFTER increasing orchestration), and use the "user comments" box to specify how you would like your show modified.

Additional Staff/Staves ($150 per added staff)
Does your ensemble have specific needs in regards to instrumentation beyond what is in the show that you are purchasing? Let our staff carefully design additional parts that seamlessly integrate into your show. Simply click on the button above the label, type the number of staves, and use the "user comments" box to specify what staves you would like added to the show.
