Into the Forest

Into the Forest is a magical and immersive marching band show that tells the story of a young girl who wanders into an enchanted forest, guided by mystical creatures and the watchful Aspen Eye trees. The journey begins with the haunting beauty of Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, introducing the lost girl through a delicate flute solo. As the forest awakens, Aurora’s Running with the Wolves brings the girl face-to-face with woodland spirits and animals who help her find her way. In the final segment, the flute returns as a beacon of hope, leading her back home transformed by wonder and wisdom. Designed for smaller ensembles, Into the Forest uses thoughtful orchestration, captivating visuals, and music by Debussy, Aurora, and John Max McFarland to transport audiences into a fairy tale world of adventure and self-discovery.
