Drive

One evening in 1988, a rebellious teenager drives recklessly into the night.  He swerves around traffic, fishtails around corners, and pushes the limits on his new sports car's engine.  In the blink of an eye he spins out of control and totals the car into a guard rail.  Wrapped inside the twisted metal and clinging to life, the teen has an out of body experience.  After being pulled from the wreckage and revived on scene, the young, lifeless boy has a moment of clarity.  No longer hopeless and lost, the teen finds meaning and purpose in his life.  He's a force to be reckoned with and is driven to greatness.  The moment that almost ended it has filled him with life and inspiration! The musical design draws inspiration from old 1980's new wave style music.  Shows like Knight Rider and other shows utilizing old school synthesizer patches have a strong presence in the musical scoring.  Costuming should be designed appropriately in the new wave punk style that was prominent in that time period.
