A Change of Seasons is a vibrant marching band show that uses a ticking clock motif and an eclectic mix of musical styles to represent the passage of time. The performance unfolds with summer’s lively splendor—featuring Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Vivaldi's Summer, and Irving Berlin's Some Sunny Day—transitioning into the reflective tones of fall with Vivaldi's Autumn, MacDowell’s In Autumn, and Tchaikovsky’s Autumn Song. The mood then deepens into winter’s darkness through Vivaldi's Winter and a dramatic nod to The Battle of Winterfell, complete with chaotic sound designs that evoke the disintegration of time. Finally, the show rejuvenates in spring, where Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite effortlessly transitions into a fresh, upbeat arrangement of Here Comes the Sun, culminating in a triumphant close with Respighi's Pines of Rome.
