The Traveler
Contact Us about show availability and regional protection.
The Traveler tells the tale of a lone explorer hiking in the English Countryside. The curious excursionist wonders upon a marching band and is wisked away into a magical world of wonder and excitement.
The show utilizes a soloist, who travels across the field playing his tunes on an Electronic Wind Instrument (EWI). The EWI utiilizes various Penny Whistles, Bag Pipes, and other similar patches to capture the spirit of the countryside. The musical repertoire uses staples in band literature written by English composers (complete list in the "repertoire" tab)
Perfect for smaller bands looking to play major concert band repertoire, the show was originally commissioned by Angelo Kortyka and the Saint Edward High School Marching Band for their 2020 season. The Eagles went on to win the state championship for the US Bands virtual competition.
