SHOW SEGMENTS:

1. The Arrival

2. The Sacrifice

3. The Departure/Take Us With You

SHOW SYNOPSIS:

In Segment 1 (The Arrival), an ancient tribal civilization is going about their day when a portal opens up above their temple.  Emerging from the conduit is an extraterrestrial life form that comes bearing infinite knowledge and wisdom.  The tribe goes through a worship ritual to welcome the new visitor, which includes section features and a few full ensemble moments.

In Segment 2 (The Sacrifice) the tribe, fearful that the otherworldly visitor is planning to leave, decides that they must make a sacrifice in order to appease the guest.  The cymbal line leads the ritual with an exposed split moment which is then accompanied by the rest of the battery.

After appeasing their new diety,  the tribespeople are now worthy of the knowledge the extraterrestrial possesses.  Segment 3 (The Departure/Take Us With You) is full of joyful and energetic music that expresses the elation from the tribe.  After one final battery impact, a slow but undulating musical passage is played by the front ensemble.  All the tribespeople are whisked away through the Gate, never to be seen again.
