Synopsis:

Step into the dark and mysterious world of Red, a bold retelling of the classic Little Red Riding Hood tale where innocence and danger intertwine. The show begins with the haunting strains of Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap, representing Red’s journey through the woods, filled with curiosity and caution. The delicate, ethereal vocals float through the air as the band creates a dreamlike atmosphere, but beneath the beauty lies an unshakable sense of unease. Then, from the shadows, the wolf emerges. The sinister opening of Hey You by Pink Floyd signals his presence, his theme lurking and growing in intensity as he stalks his prey. The music twists and turns, the melody distorted like the wolf’s deception, leading Red deeper into the forest where fate awaits.

As the tension peaks, the two forces collide in a dramatic battle set to the thunderous power of Symphony No. 10, Mvt. 2by Shostakovich. The wolf strikes, the brass roars, and the percussion drives the chaos forward as Red fights for survival. The woodwinds swirl in a frenzy, depicting the relentless pursuit, until finally, the tide turns. With one final, triumphant push, Red overcomes the darkness, and the story reaches its climactic resolution. The show closes with a powerful reprise of Hide and Seek, reminding us that while the woods may be dark and full of danger, courage and determination can always find the light.
