SHOW SYNOPSIS

Embark on a harrowing journey in Into Thin Air, where a lone mountain climber's ascent to the peak is both triumphant and tragic. As the climber reaches the summit, the ensemble's powerful rhythms capture the exhilaration of conquering the mountain. But triumph quickly turns to despair as they realize they are trapped, with no hope of descent. In this moment of acceptance, the haunting notes of "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush echo through the air, underscoring the climber’s final moments as they succumb to the mountain's unforgiving grasp.

The climber's journey doesn't end with death; instead, the spirits of the mountain, portrayed by the indoor percussion performers, guide them on an ethereal passage to the afterlife. These spirits weave the climber’s essence into the very fabric of the mountain, symbolizing the eternal bond between human ambition and nature’s unyielding power. As the show draws to a close, a new climber appears at the mountain’s base, hinting at the inevitable repetition of this timeless struggle, with the spirits ever watchful, ready to claim another soul.
