Home For the Holidays showcases a variety of holidays celebrated throughout the calendar year.  This is a great show for bands looking to showcase their ability to play in multiple styles and genres.

Segment 1 begins with a preshow countdown to the new year.  We celebrate with an opening statement of "Auld Lang Syne", then go right into Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet" to celebrate Valentine's Day.  After an impact moment with the famous Romeo and Juliet love theme, we transition into a St. Patrick's Day celebration with a rousing rendition of Garryowen.  Garryowen slowly transitions into a final impact statement from Handel's "Hallelujah chorus" to showcase the Easter Holiday

Segment 2 focuses on the more patriotic holidays that occur in the Spring and Summer.  This ballad movement utilizes material from America the Beautiful and Amazing Grace to honor US service men and women during the memorial day and 4th of July holidays.  The ballad wraps up with a quick quote of the end of the star spangled banner

Segment 3 celebrates halloween with a q quick percussion ensemble arrangement of Spooky Scary Skeletons, by Andrew Gold

Segment 4 is all about that end of the year holiday we all know and love, CHRISTMAS!  This closing tour de force utilizes quotes and phrases from 11 Christmas Songs (Don't worry!  Only 1 song will need to be licensed), and will fill the audience with spirit and nostalgia from beginning to end!
